Poached Egg Kurma!



Ingredients:
  • Eggs - 4
  • Onion - 1
  • Tomatoes -2
  • Ginger & Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Tamarind - little
  • Green Chilli - 1
  • Cinnamon sticks - 2
  • Cardamom pods - 2
  • Cloves - 2
  • Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Garam masala - 1 tbsp.
  • Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
  • Fennel seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves or Curry leaves - Garnish


Preparation:


Grind 1 tomato separately and grind the other tomato with coconut, green chilli, fennel seeds,chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, coriander powder. 


Heat oil in a saucepan. Splutter the Cinnamon, Cloves, Cardamom and then add chopped onions and fry until it releases the raw smell. 

Add the ginger and garlic paste. Fry for few minutes. Now add the tomatoes and the salt. Now add the ground coconut masala. Add this paste and fry little more. Now add some water to make it gravy. Add the tamarind water.

Let the gravy boil for few minutes, then add raw eggs one by one. Just add the eggs at different part of the vessel to prevent the large clumps.

Cook on low flame till the eggs are cooked well. Now the poached egg kurma is ready. Garnish with curry leaves and serve for Rice or chapathi.
